It was a great privilege to take part in a conversation with Yinka Shonibare, MBE at the opening of his End of Empire commission at the Margate Turner Contemporary on March 22nd 2016. Presented by Kirsty Lang, with Dr Meera Sabaratnam of London's School of Oriental and African Studies. Yinka talks about influences and inspirations for his extraordinary art, Dr Sabaratnam talks about about the involvement of non-European peoples in the 1st World War, and I discussed the Burma Boys in the 2nd World War and Isaac Fadoyebo's story. Here's a beautifully produced video of the evening, by 14-18 Now, who organised the event.  (My own contribution- illustrated with pictures- begins at around the 33 minute mark on the video).
